November 2025 – A Deep Sense of Thanks: reflecting on Partnership and Resilience This Thanksgiving

A Deep Sense of Thanks: Reflecting on Partnership and Resilience This Thanksgiving 2025

By Vaughn Woods, CFP, MBA

Friends, clients, and colleagues—as the year begins to draw to a close, we invite you to pause with Robert and myself to reflect.

It is Thanksgiving 2025; a time traditionally set aside for gathering and expressing gratitude. Beyond the laughter and the customary airing of differing perspectives around dinner table, there is a powerful and humbling feeling in the air: a profound thankfulness for the path we have walked together.

This past year was not defined by smooth sailing, but by significant, often unexpected shifts. The global and financial landscape kept us on our toes, presenting challenges that tested our strategies, our patience, and our resolve. Yet, looking back, our overwhelming feeling is one of gratitude for the collective resilience we all demonstrated.

I am so thankful this year recognizing the strength, trust, and shared humanity that powers our professional and personal lives. It is a simple acknowledgment and one that is built on our true partnership of trust.

There are four places where our gratitude feels especially strong this holiday season.

  1. The Foundation of Financial Partnership

In the context of the relationships, we share a measured strength which you displayed throughout this year’s market’s volatility. Remember the forecasts from January? The air was thick with caution. But what truly defined 2025 was not the noise, but your response to it.

The Power of Perspective

You chose faith in strategy over panic. Instead of reacting to sensational headlines, you engaged in thoughtful dialogue, separating market noise from signal. Thank you for the intellectual partnership and the trust you place in our process. This confidence is the bedrock of our shared success.

The Value of Human Insight

2025 saw the accelerated maturity of Artificial Intelligence (AI). While this technology has become a genuine, productivity-boosting tool, it only amplified the value of what cannot be automated: empathy, strategic insight, and the human understanding of complex goals. We are deeply thankful for the continued relevance of the human-centric approach in a rapidly digitized world.

A Return to Measured Strategy

We are grateful for the clear-headed, long-term strategic vision that prevailed. The emotional, fear-driven trading of the market’s recent past has settled, and our focus on measured, durable strategies along with proper diversification provide peace of mind.

  1. The Heart of Genuine Relationships

If the market was turbulent, our relationships served as the steady anchor. This section is purely about you – our magnificent clients and friends.

A few defining moments stand out this year

Navigating the Unexpected Together

In April, the “Liberation Day Tariff Shock” created market upheaval, sending stocks tumbling and uncertainty soaring. Yet, because we had laid a foundation of preparedness, our clients could view the financial news not with dread, but with a sense of calm assurance. Thank you for having the foresight to plan, allowing us to guide you through volatility rather than react to crisis.

The Gift of Trust

There is no greater compliment than when a client we admire introduces us to a friend or family member they respect. It is an endorsement of trust, a vote of confidence, and a profound validation of our values. We want to express our sincere appreciation for making us a part of your inner circle. We never take that unconditional trust for granted.

  1. The Strength of Adaptability and Forward Thinking

2025 was a year that rewarded adaptability. Companies that embraced change thrived. We are thankful for the opportunity to learn and evolve alongside you.

Embracing New Horizons

The shift to sophisticated AI agentic systems happened rapidly this year. While others were chasing fleeting trends and buzzwords, you maintained a calm, trusting approach, allowing us to integrate this innovation strategically. We are grateful for your patience and belief in a methodology that prioritizes fundamentals over market mania.

Lessons Learned

We are also thankful for the lessons of this year – the moments that sharpened our thinking and strengthened our process. We treat every challenge as an opportunity to refine how we protect and grow your wealth, always with prudence and discipline at the core.”

Valuing Connection

Our doors are open every trading day, and we are here in person, doing the work for our clients. We are grateful for the meetings, office visits, and informal conversations that deepen understanding in ways a calendar invite alone never could.”

  1. Looking to a Future of Possibilities

As we enjoy this moment of rest and gratitude, we look to the year ahead with a blend of preparation and excitement.

The Clean Slate

Every year-end is a chance to reset. We are thankful for the opportunity to dust off important goals, refine our strategies, and draft a renewed playbook for the next session and season. The market, like life, is a continuous feedback loop, and we are thankful for the unending possibility of growth.

Preparedness for What’s Next

We know 2026 will bring its own set of unpredictable challenges. But we face this future with confidence: the dedicated teams we have at Bolton Global Capital, Inc, the strong relationships we’ve forged in working together here in La Jolla, and the experience we’ve earned mean we are ready for whatever the year end market delivers and the new year holds.

The Simple Comforts

After all the analysis, planning, and hard work, the simplest things remain the best. We are profoundly thankful for you, for health, for family, for friendship, for the spiritual capital we continue to develop that brings balance in our lives and for good food, and for the chance to slow down, even if just for one long weekend.

May your Thanksgiving table be abundant, your conversation be warm, and your time with loved ones be deeply restful. And if you or your loved ones are alone or pressed into service or work on Thanksgiving consider Turkey Day an opportunity to bask in thankfulness thinking we are all truly blessed.

We raise a sincere, symbolic toast to you! Thank you for being a steady partner and trusted friend as we navigate this ongoing journey through markets and the broader macroeconomic landscape together.

Happy Thanksgiving 2025!

Sincerely,

Vaughn Woods, CFP, MBA
